TEMPLESTOWE HOTEL
All bedrooms are en-suite with colour television and tea/coffee making facilities. There is a lift to all floors some rooms have steps to them. The hotel provides evening entertainment with live music and stand-up comedy. Sun terrace and heated outdoor swimming pool.
There is a free bar between 7pm – 11pm every evening to include Draught Beer & Lager, branded spirits, House Wine, tea, coffee and hot chocolate.
MONDAY We set off in the morning from Retford and local pick-up points and head towards the South West Coast making a stop for lunch on route arriving at our hotel late afternoon for our four night stay in Torquay.
TUESDAY A day at leisure, relax by the outdoor swimming pool or visit historic Torre Abbey. Take a ride on Babbacombe Cliff Railway or take a walk along the promenade. Sit back and relax aboard a Boat Trip the perfect way to experience the English Riviera from one of its best vantage points – the sea!
WEDNESDAY We start the day today with a visit to Paignton a vibrant seaside town. Time here before we head to Brixham, a charming fishing town, wander around its bustling harbour with a rich maritime heritage.
THURSDAY This morning, we journey to Buckfast Abbey, home to a community of Roman Catholic Benedictine Monks. We take in the peaceful atmosphere and explore the beautiful abbey church and tranquil gardens. Later we enjoy a scenic drive through the beautiful Dartmoor National Park. Stopping at Tavistock, the historic market town and birthplace of Sir Francis Drake.
FRIDAY All too soon we must return home after a lovely holiday in Devon.
